Look what I found today floating around in my tank - I knew I had this one but have no idea how long it could have been in there.

Wild what you find when you start breaking down your tank -

Anyone care to ID (and please don't say it's a Nidi)

It's a Black Keyhold Limpet. There very cool and usually are more active at night. Be very careful moving it around as they need to be accumulated for some time before you place it in a different tank.

I just lost my two when I changed over my tank, so if you're interested in getting rid of it I'll take it.

a better pic would help, but i disagree. the white-tipped projections that are visible in Jim's pix look like a nudibranch's rhinophores and nothing like the pic you posted.

The picture that I posted doesn't show the white tips but it does have them. Also nudibranch are sponge eaters and would have died once all the sponges are eaten, Black Keyhole limpets eat algae and you usually don't see them for quite sometime.

whatever it is it looks very healthy so it must have some food to eat in jims tank. maybe it eats that cool black sponge you have jim , hehe.

what are you going to do with it? it might not last long in that container it's in.
