2 part dosing

ok going to start using 2 part for dosing. wondering what you use. and reason you use you, what you like about it what you don't like. ty rick

Randys 2 part ...cheap to make works just as good as ESV only a faction of the cost..Coralline growing all ovr theplace ,,,calcium and alk are on point

only thing with dosing anything in your tank ,make sure you test daily untill you know how much of each your tank will need ,,your tank will use up calcium and alk according to what type and how many coral you might have coralline will also use up calcium to grow .. .in tail you might need to dose more as you get more corals that will need calcium and so on

You can buy all the additives as one package, or just the individual additives that you can't find locally. I don't know what the local prices are, but his prices look pretty good considering he's done all the work at getting it all together.

ok i got the esv 2 part liquid. so since i havent ever used this and i can read the directions how much do you use per gallon of this in mix ? will have 3 tube's of water to mix with 20g per tub. with a powerhead to move water. and should i do salt mix first or after i do the dose ? ty rick

I think this is what you're asking...

The instructions tell you how much to add of each part to bring the calcium and alkalinity parameters to the levels you want.

Dosing is typically done into the display tank and not makeup water.

so i can just add this to tank. i dont have to use it in water that i use for change ? asking because some people that use the powder mix it in water change water. sorry if i ask alot of stupid questions or simple questions and i know i can read it, but how many people actually do exactly what it says, just trying to see what other's are doing

Personally, with ESV products, I use their instructions as a guideline. Ultimately, your test kit results will dial in the dosage your particular tank requires.
