Silly question about teflon tape, it can only be used once right?
In other words once its threaded on the pipe and then you decide to undo the thread, you have to use new tape cause it won't create a good seal since it's crushed.

New tape each time?

yup,,you need to use new teflon tape everytime you thread something on it ,,other wise when you take off the fitting ,the teflon is gone ;)

NO dont use puddy taht has oils in it


did you put the teflon on the right way ,,I know that sound silly ,but there ia right and worng way to put on teflon

i think i solved the problem, one of the connecting nipples i used was either defective or simply didn't have the right thread gap tolerance.
Anyway I swapped out the nipple and so far no leaks (30min).

Those pesky nipples - lol

No! It was the exsisting ones I had connected to the bulkhead.
Your nipples were the good ones - LOL

Fixed that slow pesky leak thats been bugging me.
Only took 3.5 hrs.

Teflon tape holds pipe that pushes more then 200PSI ...:rolleyes: why use anything that needs to dry ? LOL
