Salt-aholic-who isn't here?

I worked in a public aquarium before and understood the addiction of saltwater so I reframe from owning any saltwater stuff for half of my life but last year, I started to jump on a super deal (in kind of a rescue mission-the owner is trashing the whole setup) and by now I am at the point of no return with more than 7 saltwater tanks-even more than my fresh water ones which accumulated for 10 years.

BTW can you brief a little more on the stand(sump? what's is it under the tank?). It looks DIY and all acrylics. Interesting.

Welcome to MR.

If you are looking to be cured of your addiction this place is far from Reefers Anonymous, but it's a helluva ride!

welcome tommy,

your set up looks good. like wingo asked, what's that sump? it looks like it's the same size as the tank!
the only thing I'd change is your water filter, if your going to keep coral get an RO/DI filter, the one you used is just a DI cartridge. it's better than nothing but not as good as an RO/DI

Thanks all for the warm welcome!

Surfer boy: Yes, 1st reef! always kept marine fish.....
Dead rocks.... A rio powerhead failure in the tank!

The stand double as a sump!
It had a spraybar going across w/2 drip trays in every compartment.....IMO It didn't work! So I Modified!.

Yeah, the water was kinda a quick fix from my salt-aholic addiction!
RO/DI Is on top of my list!
