Oceanic 200gal Salt containers are 7gals. See if you can get one from someone, maybe a LFS that uses Oceanic salt or even buy a container of it yourself.

Yes, they do! But NRA does not want the 5 gallon ones that HD carries. He wants 7 gallon buckets, and HD doesn't carry that size.:wink1:

Mike, they're close to 7g also. They're actually about 6.5g, filled right to the rim. Still cheaper than having to buy them.

I filled one up last week, wanted to figure out how much water I was changing, and I got just about 7gals, which was right to the rim. I'll check it again.

I did a graduated scale on about 8 buckets for the same reason. Like I said, it's close, but a little shy of 7. And ditto on to the RIM. Can't carry it filled. It would be a mess.

It seems even if you fill it only half way, you still make a mess. :biggrin:

I've seen buckets for sale at Benjamin Moore Paint shops. I know they are larger than the 5 gallon buckets but not sure if its 7. They are empty by the way!

:banghead: Would normally make sense. However, the small amount that you'd have to reduce the fill by to enable the lid to close will reduce the volume to about 6.5g. He wanted 7g and we were just trying to be as accomodating as possible :sgrin:

BTW, thanks for your expertise on the bucket and lid correlation :hug:
