Ok. I didn't know if there is some kind of media that doesn't need CO2 to dissolve. What's the smallest CO2 bottle size available?

5lbs is the smallest. The bigger the tank, the longer you go before refilling. You can recharge them in several places, mostly welding supply places. Some places refill your own tank, others exchange it. For me i rather refill my own and not get a contaminated one in return.

How much room do you have in your stand? A 5lb tank is 5.5" in circumference and 19" tall. I've had my bottle filled at a welding place in East New York off of the Jackie Robinson Parkway. Besides that you can go to any beer distributer that services kegs and have them fill it for you. I would call to make sure they will fill your tank and not take yours and swap it out with a pre filled old one.

I have my tank and reactor outside of my stand. Its kind of unsightly but I plan to build an encloser for it eventually. If you have the extra room I would consider a 10lb tank because it is double the capacity and not that much bigger.

Palmtree, i used to refill my tank at the same place. They are very nice. You have to call them though and see if they can do it that same day, otherwise you have to leave your tank there and pick up the next day.

JP, you can hide the tank anywhere, all you need is the 1/4" line going to the reactor. If the regulator has a solenoid then you will need a power supply.

Well if it's going in my closet I'll get the 10lbs even thought the 5lbs is $75 and the 10lbs is $174:scratchch So am I better off getting 2 5lbs?

No way, where you got that price from? The 10lb is 100 bucks. You added the two together that's why you got that price.

Yeah the 10 lb did not cost me that much. I think I picked mine up on Ebay for like 80 bucks plus shipping. They are very nice there Pedro. The guy filled it up for me right there even though he had a ton of other tanks to do.

So i don't have to drill an additional hole to my wall. I thought the line was bigger than 1/4".

The co2 line from the reactor is about 1/4", the effluent from the reactor is maybe 1/2". You mentioned just having the co2 in the closet.

Mine is still for sale, but now it's only a single chamber. I am working with someone on a deal, i'll let you know what happens.
