Does the Barr have extensions on the neck that can be removed to make it a shorter skimmer ?

It does not. It is 31.5" top to bottom. You would need probably 1" clearance.

Can you give me footprint size ? Is it a single backett or dual ? What pump is recommended for it ?

The box is 10x7 with the gate valve attaching to the short side. You can run in sump or out.

Recommended is iwaki 55, and I'm sure you could use a 70. Not sure about submersible pumps or other brands.

I have a mint 55 I could sell you with it for $125. (Not selling pump alone)
