Hi Guys,

The flame scallop sucked in a shrimp molt. It has been sticking halfway out his side for a couple days. Do I try to pull it out or offer him some cocktail sauce?

Sorry, I should not have said "ate" a shrimp molt. I know he did not eat it. Just didn't want to hurt him by pulling it out.

Anyway, I tried to remove it. When I startled him, he sucked it all the way in. Hopefully he will spit it back out.

It probably will take some time before it decides to let go.

Next time if you come across the same situation use a turkey blaster may be better. Scallops seem to scare of our hand movement and vibrations.

I have seen a fish died because the scallop would not let go for 2 days

My brain used to eat shrimp malt all the time. It was like a delicacy...:chef:

it was so funny how it devoured the whole thing like a python.
