No big deal if we can't fill all the months either. I know I can only dedicate so much time to the hobby.
Other hosts may hold things differently from others, so there is no set format. Be as creative as you want.
Russ, have the guys give me a heads up on when the Fall Frag Swap would be. I think me and Mike will look for September. The 22nd would be best for me, but I'll check with him before I commit.
I'm going to occasionally lurk around, but for the most part, I'm done around here for the summer. I'm going to let the Dialyseas do what it does and go away from the hobby until the fall. Feeding only for me. Have a great summer guys.

This would be so great. I would love to see other's tanks. Only thing, (and it could be just me) although I love showing off my tanks I would not feel much like showing off to you guys with the awesome systems. To me I would actually feel shamed, and it would turn more into how can we fix Awi's system:Yikes:. lol
I think this would be a great idea. And I'd volunteer myself and tank as a newbie to have those with more knowledge and experience take a look at my setup and help me tweak it and fine tune it. Would be much easier than posting on here and still kind of be on my own with what to do and not do.

Awilda, your tank would actually be a good selection for this purpose. Don't be too critical of yourself.
taat2d, you would be defying the purpose of such events. The best way for me to learn was to go and look at systems and figure out what techniques were best suited for what I am able to do. If a bunch of experienced guys go to your house, you'll get a million solutions on how to make your tank better, none of which suit your husbandry techniques. You should focus more on possibly attending a meeting or 2. Neither me or Randy is more than 15 minutes from the bridge. You've also got a good reefer or 2 out there who would also be capable of hosting events.
It doesn't require a full blown SPS tank to host. You also don't have to be the most experienced/least experienced to attend.
Also, the idea isn't to sharpshoot a system. It is for the host to show what has worked for them, why and how.

Chris, be aware, MACNA is Sept. 14, 15 & 16. I know a lot of reefers will be going since it's quasi back on the east coast (Pittsburgh). Having it at your place the following Saturday might be a lot for some of the spouses
Just a heads up.
I'm sure the mods will announce the fall swap sometime during the late summer. If history repeats itself, it'll be sometime in October, if I recall correctly.
