I am planning  on purchasing the aquamedic Reefdoser quad and I wanted some opinions  from anyone who can say anything about it good or bad or has any other doser they would recommend. This thing is over $400 so your opinions will factor in my purchase. I will be purchasing in a week or 2. Thanks Guys and Gals.:spin:

I like my reefdoser duo. A little finicky at first but fine once you get it set.
What would you need a quad for? HOF has the best prices on them...

I wanted the quad for magnesium, strontium, iodine, and calc for a limited time. The calc will not be used forever ..Because.. I am going to buy a mrc nano calc reactor so the fourth is not intended for calc but more for futureproofing... My setup is 90gallon tank and about 30 gallon sump... I know it's overkill but I rather have and not need, then need and not have. I don't know if that will work?

Sounds to me like you're on your way to overdosing stron, iodine and mag. Also, if you're going to dose calcium, you need to dose alk.

IF (and that's a big if) you decide to dose stron, iodine, magnesium, just dose manually and test for the levels.

Why would I be overdosing if I use an aquadoser..I thought that is what they were made for, controlling doses. I might go with the triple instead of the quad but if I go with the triple then I might as well consider the litermeter 3...

While you may not be overdosing, you'd be overspending. Although some people do dose either/both iodine/strontium, the quantities dosed wouldn't justify the cost of an additional Aquadoser pump. Usually a few mL once a week is all that manufacturers recommend.

Thanks Wolv and I hear you Dean so it isn't cost effective to get a quad or a triple or just any doser? I am also doing magnesium and/or alk and maybe some calc until iset up the the space for the calc reactor. So should i bring it down to the dual... The reason I'm spending is because I'm putting myself on a spending diet soon and decided to purchase within a week all those little things I will eventually need either now or in the future..Like a doser..an Ac controller (rk2 or ACjr).. and a calc reactor. Just wanted to get things now so later when i get bored I don't start buying things without planning.
