Personally, I don't like the Reeflux bulbs. Eric had one over his tank for a while and I HATED it, and it clearly did not light his tank as well as the 10K Hamilton that he was using previously as things on the edges were really straining towards the light. The color was better, but the health of his corals was NOT. Have you looked at Sanjay's ste where he tested the PAR of the various bulbs? It's quite informative. I also thought his experiments with the reflectors were interesting - I'm looking forward to seeing those properly published somewhere so I can access it outside the files of my memory.

I've noticed increased growth, color and I believe overal health with my bulbs..Maybe it just wasn't enough light for the depth or size of the tank or placement of the corals...I have a lumenarc reflector also 400 watts and thats just 1 on a standard AGA 180gal.. And if you ask me 10k is old school...No more yellow pody water...

I've looked at Sanjay's site only to feel really slow...Not really intogetting way to deep... Form my experience in the last 13 years saltwater(but only a couple month's acros)when you think to deep with the stuff...Your setting yourself up for a crash...That's never happened to me and I won't let it...KSS..With what you can...

Lissa,
I've tried the Reeflux 10K back when I was running 250's and they were decent but I didnt like the pink tint they had. I didnt even know the reeflux bulbs came in a 150DE make .

T,
I'll definately look at Sanjays site. As for color I don't want anything that will be yellow. A crisp white with a little blue would work well. I don't like the tank tooo blue anymore.

Bob,
Thanks for the info. Doubt I'm going back with Reeflux's though.

Anyone happen to have a link ot Sanjays site with the 150watt bulb tests/pics?
