Nurse Shark For Sale

I know,I know why would anyone keep a nurse shark when they grow to 6 feet or more in length and will outgrow their tank. As long as people will buy them there will be a pet store that will sell them.:banghead: The shark is 36 in. now and was purchased at 24 in. He will take any reasonable offer. Mods do not delete I will try and get a price from the seller today......

Shark is $400 delivered,$300 picked up in Rockland. Measures 30-34 in. exact measurement will be posted later today.

A female nurse shark will grow to almost 11 feet, while the males top off at just over 6

to make it even better the nurse shark is on the IUCN red list of endangered species,
way to go LFS

You ever considered to release it at the Jersey shore? There are plenty of swimmers to feed the shark.

You would be amazed at what they are selling. Blacktip,whitetip, bonnet heads and the list goes on and on. Like I said as long as people buy them they will sell them....

Tim, if you help him sell it, even to the person that could possibly have a 30' tank , then you're almost encouraging him to bring in more. Get him to lose his investment in the shark by donating it to a place that can accommodate it and he'll think twice about bringing another one in.

He is done with sharks. Will the NY Aquarium take it?

There is a guy, I think down in Flordia, that sells all kind of sharks, some which are pretty large.

And your right Tim, as long as there is a market people are going to keep selling them. Unfortunately the people that usually buy them want some thing like the see on TV, but even though they may have a large tank, it's nowhere near what they should have. The shark then can't move resulting in it either dying or them having to get rid of it.

You can try the various public aquariums, but don't be surprised if they politely decline due to the frighteningly high number of similar requests. Good luck.
