Has any ever been to breezy poiunt beach in brooklyn/far rockaway and seen these things. Inch long the, looks like a fat pink pod sometimes very egg laden. if you dig into the sand you weill eventually find them. They are excellent @ digging and live in the sand by the water. Are they reef safe, seems like it would be an excellent sand sifter.

If they come from waters like ours which are typically colder water than the tanks we keep then you may be dooming them to death. Keep that in mind. Kinda like throwing an Ice cube in a hot tub.

I have recently been experimenting with baby muscles in my sump/refugium....They have been alive for a 2 weeks now about 100 of them....But when I put them in my main tank my rock lobster immediately rips the shell open and eats them...

Imagine if you will that someone grabbed you threw you in a van, drove you to the desert and kicked you out then left. You'd survive for a little bit too. It's the same things with these creatures. Unless you have a tank setup as a north eastern biotope.
