I have not taken a picture, but just wanted run this by to see your thoughts. On this one rock I have these really, really deep purple growths that seem to be spreading. I have choked it up to be coralline agae, its spreading length wise, but it also appears to be growing in height. Just a couple weeks ago when I had my seahare, he ate it to the point of only seeing the purple slightly visible on the rock. It now appears to be atleast 1/4" thick and spreading. The reason I ask is that I do have greens, orange, purple and reds coming out on my other rocks, but this one is growing in thickness and is an amazingly deep dark purple with a shine all other coraline algae colors are nice but lack the shine and thickness?

Thanks,
Jack

My thoughts are that you need to provide a photo.

It also shines........usually coralline does't shine but red slime does.

Definately not red slime, seen pictures of that.

Its a real deep purple, not the lighter colored purple corraline algae that I'm use to seeing. I'm sure its just corraline algae, but its so much nicer then what you would typically see. I'll have to get a picture for you guys\gals sometime next week.

Thanks,
