hi guys i have a ? i hope it doesnt soon stupid. well i have a 55g small soft reef and i have a 20g sump. i have a 300watt heater and my tank is open cuz i have a squid and return comin into the tank , any way i dont have thermometure cuz it broke and i just got a large blenny and it died today, i didnt drip acclamate just float the bag cuz i got home reeaaaal late so i float for 25min then i dumpped him in the tank. well any way i just want to know just cuz my tank is open my tank should still be 75 even if the glass lid is not closin it. sorry for so much writing.

tank should be around 78 degree's petsmart or alot of grocery store's sell cheap thermonitors. could have been a sick fish anyways you never know
This might be your first problem, second of all you should of had the sales person feed the fish to see it it eats. Second problem is that you dont have proper equipment to put more fish in or even worse the current fish that you have. It seems like ur temp is tooooooooo low you have to bring it up and a heater and thermometer would def help. before spending any more $$ on fish please buy urself what you need to have the temp regulated.
i know. i shouldve done that man. fu**! he was huge man . im mad his dead cuz i have a lot of hair algea and he was goin to be my answer . im soo mad . im goin to get a thermometer and see what temp my tank is in. thanks for the help marki.
