Vortech Pumps

I was just told that the Vortech pumps will not work on 1" glass and the tank i will be upgrading to is 1". glass. Are they thinking of making a magnet that will support 1" glass. it's going to be disappointing if after i bought the backup batt's and the wireless drivers if i can use them :letitallo
