Sounds like 1 tank is overflowing into another tank. If you're worried its pumping too fast that the first tank's overflow can't handle it, put a ball valve on it. If its going to put you under the minimum GPH, then T it off with ball valves so it pumps some water to tank 2 or sump if there is one.

no sump. you can see the tank in the aquamedic nano wave 9 thread. if i can have someone draw a diagram for me I want to get another one of these tanks and use one chiller. so far the tanks is great a refuge skimmer all work fine. look s promising.

i did upgrade the pump in there and the rio 600 square fits in there perfectly and no moding is needed the pump it came with is a 100 gph its now 200gph.

Are you going to drill the two tanks or are you going to use two pumps to feed the chiller? If you are going to do the latter I would advice against it because you'll never know when one pump is going to crap out or not start. If this happens your going to end up draining one tank and overfilling the other.
