RIP "Puffy" My Beloved Puffer

Today is one of the saddest days in my life. I woke up this morning to find my beloved Black Puffer "Puffy" of 2 years dead:sad2:. On Sunday night I fed him some frozen squid from my local A&P and he ate like a pig:eat:. All was well until Wednesday when I came home and found him with a bubble right under the left side of his jaw; it looked as if he was sucked in by a powerhead, but they are all covered. I figured he'll be alright, because he's been through worst things in the last two years I had him. He was still swiiming around like nothing happened. All changed last night when I got home and found him on his side breathing hard. He left side had already turned brown (he was a bit blown up, so you could see it clearly); at this point, there was really nothing that I could do. I simply turned off the lights and let nature take it's course; nature did take it's course and sadly this morning at around 4AM he passed away:sad2:.....My brothers called me this morning offering to buy another one for me again, but I think that even if I get another one, it's just not him. Those of you that have been to my house know the love I had for him; many offered to buy him, but I just wouldn't sell him for anything......At this point I feel like breaking down my 180 FOWLR.....

It's too bad that we can only hug a fish with our hearts.

Try and hang in..there's some other puffer out there that was plucked from the ocean that needs a home like yours.

Thanks guys....He must have caught an internal infection from the squid; I hear that the dye that's in some of these squids are dangerous or simply it was old frozen food....

The Same Happened To My Puffer,i Feed Him Bait Like I Always Did For 3years.silversides Were To Much Money So I Used Bait,the Next Day He Was On The Bottom Looking Sick And Would Not Swim.the Next Day Dead.do You Think It The Food Or Caught Somthing.it Still Drives Me Nuts To This Day.i Still Have The Same Fish For Years That He Lived With.i Cnat Find A Big Puffer Anywere To Replace Him,

Yes it was....I just bought a new ceramic bit for the dremel this past weekend cause it was about that time again.......

It was definately the food, because my Clown Trigger of 2 years as well died 2 days after eating the same squid; I forgot to input this earlier.....

Tell me about it, lol...I'm glad u picked up the Clown Tang, because he was beating the hell out of him....I'm still double thinking about breaking the whole set-up down....
