For those who do not keep refugiums...

I just upgraded my 36 corner to a 54 corner because it has a larger cabinet underneath to keep hardwear. Id rather not keep a fuge if possible. I have a phos reactor, and wonder if I just I run a second reactor with a nitrate sponge (any reccomendations) I could replace the denitration ability of a fuge. This is my only tank now and Id like a fairly fish stocked system with corals

I always do the standard 10% wc a week. Contemplating stepping up to 15% with the reactors.

What have you NON-FUGE people been doing?

Hey jason... I've been running 2 reactors( one with rawaphos and one whit carbon) and been doing 20G WC weekly... that was working out for me for a long time.

IMO, IME Phosban and a kick a$$ skimmer is all you need. A fuge can't complete with that level of filtration

get the biggest best skimmer you can afford and fit.

don't worry about overkill.
