Try the Maxi-Jet mod if you want to see flow....

The Koralia # 4 will give "decent" flow in a corner tank.....but trust me it will look big in that tank & will be an eye sore (depending on where you place them of course).

Whatever powerhead you decide on, you'll have to use 2....because of the shape of the tank.

I love my Vortech(although I have to send it back for a free adjustment/overhaul), BUT IM A ROOKIE!!

I saw a crazy wave in a similiar sized tank(in gallons only...not shape) with 2 vortechs each w/ wave controller...there is a link somewhere on this site...I think the title was: harmonics in waves...something like that

I have a koralia 4 and 2 in my 55g and it has had no adverse affects. Quite the opposite actually, but it did kick up a storm initially. I ended up angling it off the glass to create a nice flow throughout the tank.

I just set up a 54 corner and have a koralia 4 and a tunze 6045, I definitly perfer the koralia 4, I feel there is good flow throughout the tank with it, However I constantly find my sand being pushed away from the glass forming mounds in some sections and bear glass in other places, because of the way the flow is obstructed by the shape of the tank. Im still working on which way to place flow to best distribute

Take at look at - My Tank -
I don't talk out of my butt....:)
The shape of the tank, no matter where you put a Vortech......will blast 1 side, & have a dead spot in the other. You will never be able to kick up the flow in full blast. Vortechs are flush to the glass & there is no adjustment.
You'll be better off with a big @ss Tunze. At least you can direct the flow to where you want it.

This is speaking on my experience on my 92 corner, now imagine on a 54 gal.

That's because of the Koralia's "4 way" directional flow I always talk about. Try using the diffuser. You will be able to direct the flow a bit better.
I had the 6045's on my 92. It's a softer flow than the Koralia 4. Not crazy flow....but just enough for LPS in that tank. Not SPS.
Honestly I like the Maxi-Jet w/ mod over the Koralia. More flow & looks better too.
