As long as the bio-balls are submerged they are no different than LR. The problem with bio-balls stems from their original use in a wet/dry sump when there was a drip plate and the balls were not totally submerged.

Lots of people swap out the bio-balls in the Bermuda Aquatics Rogue with LR rubble.

I've never used either of the other two HOT's you listed, but they both have great reputations.

i have a regular remora and it works great. only thing you have to consider is the space in the tank that you're going to lose because of the huge pump you're going to have to throw in there

Looking for more opinions.

Which skimmer did you end up getting?

My Recommendations in Order

1. Deltec MCE300
2. Remora Pro with Mag 3
3. Bermuda

What are the pro's and con's between the Deltec MCE300 and the Remora Pro with Mag 3 ? As of now I have a seaclone on a 75 FOWLR and I'm looking for the best bang for my buck on a HOB skimmer.

I have the remora and the pro with the mag 3 and it is really loud, however, you can do a simple mod to the skimmer that muffles the sound drastically.
