oh man if 1 little strand gets loose from that it turns into hundreds! how long have u had it in ur tank??? im battling that crap now and its never ending. nothing eats it and i cant get rid of it. im about to try a 3 day lights out period but i doubt it works. ive tried getting kalk paste and putting it over it but it just grows right thru it. some guy told me chitons "devour" it BULLSH!T they dont touch it. Ok then...since you probably don't want to set your tank on fire..which is kinda tough to do considering all that water...maybe try this...
since it is confined to one piece, I would do the following..
get yourself 2 small clean tupperware container thingys & 1/2 fill 'em with tank water, a sharp razor knife, a small clean screwdriver, a pair of unpowdered latex gloves (the acan should slime less when you touch it with the gloves on) and your ic gel.
Take the frag and using the screwdriver..pop it off the disc. Then carefully scrape the snot out of the underside of the frag (where the byropsis is growing from) until you can't see any more and then swoosh it around in the first container, then do it again. Swoosh into the second container to rinse any tiny pieces off. Glue the frag back onto the disc (if you want) and put it IMMEDIATELY back into your tank so the glue sets (IC gel gets hot as it sets..so don't waste any time on this step...or the others for that matter)

Hey Rbtwo WTF??????That is some serious BRYOPSIS!!!!!!If I'm not mistaken that is the dreaded Anti-Christ strain.Not even fire ,garlic or holy water is going to help you!!!
Yeah Jada try it and don't give up. I had a little a while back and made the mistake of pulling it. I kinda did what Kathy said after the fact and it helped only to see some growing on some rock at the bottom. I couldn't pull the rock out so I put some ic gel(which I got from Kathy Thanks!) on an ice cream stick(bought them at Staples) and encased the Anti Christ once and for all. So far so good.I'm gonna pray for you!

If you are gonna dump that frag, send it my way:lol:. I have had bouts of bryosis in the past, usually on the returns from the sump. I have had luck with lettuce nudi's from the Caribbean. The problem with them is they usually end up going over the overflows. I have also had some luck in controlling it by keeping my alkalinity high(kalkwasser drip) Now I am not saying these remedies are going to work for everyone, but they have worked in my experience
