Anyone have any experience with 400 watt DE lamps?

Im trying to find a new 400 watt DE lamp, but it seems that their relative newness has provided me with little answers. Im currently running the Coralvue ballast/pendent combo with a 20k 400 watt DE lamp. Im not crazy about it, I prefer a little more blue (believe it or not its pretty white for a 20k)

The only ones I could find are:
Hamilton 10, 14k
Icecap 10-20k
Coralvue 10-20k

Any one have any suggestions (including vendors)?

i think i remember reading somewhere that the 400w DE was an idea that really never took off. You would probably be better off going w/ SE as there are many many great bulbs to choose from.

400w Double Ended bulbs are a very limited type. You've basically got the whole range listed already. With the most common bulb being the 250w DE bulb you won't find many manufacturers that will be putting much money into the 400w DE market. It's such an unbelievably limited demand for it they can't justify the expense for the limited sales.

Im looking for a bluer color with my old phoenix 250 14k in mind. Would 14 be bluer than 20k? Im under the assumption that the higher the color the bluer, so imkind of afraid they we be too white at least with the coralvu

Wes- I was thinking if I should trade or purchase either a 400 SE or 250 pendent so I could enjoy the bulb selection

20 k is def bluer but not half as bright as 10 k

swith to SE and get a 400 Watt Radium most beautiful white blue out there
