See if you LFS or petshop will take them back and give you store credit so you can pick out some fish for suitable for that size tank.

That depends on what you plan on keeping. What is your plan for your tank? Corals? What types?

well im just starting so i dont want to push my self. i am looking for a bigger tank so that is the one i want to put the reef and corals in . but for the tank i got now with the live rock should i be use a curtin type of light

If its going to be a "fish only" tank than regular PC lights are fine, may even work for some soft corals. Anything more in that tank and you will need T5 or MH lighting. Just my opinion though. Again what are you trying to keep in your tank?

Throw some zoos in the tank maybe. Totally easy to keep and you can get a feel for caring for corals. Also you can see if your butterfly has a taste for them with a relatively cheap coral.

i have an octopus NW-110 on my 30 G. I may have gone to the 150 though if i had to do it over, but i am happy with what I have for the money, it was kinda cheap and works well
