Let me clarify, I work for an investment bank and this has been one hell of a week.

Urgh I can just imagine the chaos there. Good Luck. I was around the financial district to pick up a refractometer. When I went into a store to grab something to eat all I hear everyone talk about is their investments and how they're going to manage it right to pull it through this nightmare, cuz even the Big Guys are being carried by the Federal.

I'm of working. I've been in the office since 9:15AM and I'm leaving straight from the office (hopefully soon) to drive straight to Cambridge, MA for a meeting tomorrow morning. what im worried about is all these banks going under.banks going under no new projects to be built.no new projects to be built no ironwork.no new buildings,no new jobs .snow ball effect.worried f-yeah im worried.

This is what I'll be doing if I get layed off. Make the wife work full time while I take care of the kids..............and my kid who doesn't live in water.

This is truly a scary time. I know a good number of people who worked for Bear, Lehman and Merrill. I'm hoping for a big turnaround.

Civil Service is the field to be in during times like these. Job is guaranteed because when times get tough these jobs get busier.

i'm in the entertainment field. It's also a good field to be in, in times like this. Escape-ism is good for my business.

And I'm in the middle of 4 months off, by choice right now. But I have to work tomorrow...
