I like to be the pioneer also,,,,seagrass,my rocks, denitrifier... Not that I was the first but the only for a while now,,lol.. I had to ask to see if anyone has seen similar products... everyone thought I was crazy using the denitrifier because of the methanol... Now everyone getting their tanks drunk lmao... Same thing if you ask me my methanol just works faster and has added benefits,,,lol..
Come on guys someone has heard of this or something similar... I'd really like more input.. I don't need it but wanted to try something new out..

Hmmm...a quick search on what they claim makes this stuff tick...

Proteolytic enzymes (or proteases) refer to the various enzymes that digest (break down into smaller units) protein. These enzymes include the pancreatic proteases chymotrypsin and trypsin, bromelain (pineapple enzyme), papain (papaya enzyme), fungal proteases, and Serratia peptidase (the “silk worm” enzyme). Preparations of proteolytic enzymes have been shown to be useful in the following situations:
Cancer
Digestion support
Fibrocystic breast disease
Food allergies
Hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis)
Hepatitis C
Herpes zoster (shingles)
Inflammation, sports injuries and trauma
Pancreatic insufficiency
Multiple sclerosis
Rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune disorders
Sinusitis, asthma, bronchitis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Call me skeptical but unless the gunk in your tank is made of protein, this stuff may do nothing :(

Then again they lost me entirely when I read this on their site...
Q: How long will it take my new tank to cycle its water?
A: Your tank will cycle faster with start-up fish (IE: Grouper or inexpensive fish) these fish will probably die, yet it is okay.

I would think that most of the 'gunk' in the nooks and crannies (detritus and food, etc) would be somewhat protien based. I'd be more worried about what the by products are, and what these by products will do to your tank since it claims to be a fast acting product.

On a side note, it says an ounce disolve a pound of protien gunk, I say get a raw steak, an ounce of the Y2K Zyme, and a six pack of beer and watch the fun begin! :lol2:
