After spending a lot of time in the Marketplace, I think I have my tank set up to the point where I like what I have. I wouldn't have normally created a thread just for it, since it's not that impressive compared to others I've seen, but I'm sure at least some of the number of great people here I've bought from and contacted might be interested in seeing what I've done with their frags and such. Pretty much everything (including the tank itself) was bought from people here.

Equipment: Rear overflow/sump with filter pad, Chempure, Polyfilter, rock rubble, and return pump. JBJ Viper 150W 14K HQI w/ clip-on fan. Aqua C Remora. HOB refugium w/ chaeto. ~27 lbs of rock and 25 lbs of live sand.

I haven't kept up w/ my testing, but last time I checked, 10/5/08, it was:
SG: 1.026
pH: 8.2
Akl: 3.0 mEq/L
Ammonia: 0.1
Nitrite: 0.0
Nitrate: Didn't test but will next time

Let me know what you guys think (comments, criticisms, etc.)! I'm also thinking about putting either a maze brain or Lobophyllia in the center eventually, something eye catching.

Thanks all for the comments :squid: Yeah, Custom King, I'll keep things updated from time to time. It'll probably look more and more overstocked though...

Nice tank!

Maybe you want to turn the light the other way as you'll get much better coverage in the tank :) You have it clipped to the side now, could you clip it to the back?
Thanks all!
nanoreefer: I forgot why I didn't clip it to the back...probably didn't fit because of the back compartment or something. Coverage seems decent with it on the side anyway, especially since I'm not planning on putting SPS in the tank.

I'd like to eventually get one or two nice frags of acans to let them grow out, but that'll be awhile from now. Want to let the zoa frags start growing out first (and give me time to save up ).

It's been awhile since I updated this thread, but I have some pictures of the progress of my tank after a couple of months. Most of the livestock are doing well, but I've lost a total of 4 small colonies of zoas that pretty much spontaneously succumbed to zoapox (hence the empty frag disks that I need to remove). However, everything else seems to be doing fine. I think, besides maybe getting one or 2 replacement zoa colonies, this is about it in terms of what I'll be putting in the tank. I'm most pleased with the pink maze brain coral I got from WWOF and the blue chalice (although I feel like it could color up better if I had space to move it somewhere else).
Anyway, please let me know what you think!
