Help: Shipping Fish 101

I know NY aquarium services has O2. Mike put some in my fish bag with my brand new fish for me! Although I was only going a few stops better safe than sorry right?

Pacific on Delancy Street uses O2.

I usually ship without O2 added. I just make sure air volume to water ratio is 3 : 1. Of course, the water volume has to be sufficient to keep the chemistry stable.

You can ship without oxygen. as long as you have about 1/3 water and 2/3 air in the bag the fish will be fine.

I read that you can add a drop of hydrogen peroxide in the shipping bag and it'll work.

I've decided to pack the fish up at NWA so I can use their oxygen. I'll let everyone know how it went tonight

NWA charged me but it was only $5.42. Worth it to be sure the fish was bagged nicely.

Shoot dom you should have just set up that hydrogen peroxide rig and made your own oxygen.
