I used to have two of these units on my 75 gallon tank, one on one half and one on the other but recently purchased a 48" fixture with more power. I sold one unit already and this is the only one left. The fixture includes a 14k 175 watt MH light (used 4 months), with 2-24watt 13" pc slots (no bulbs in them but slot works) and 2 lunar lights (working well). It also has 2 built in fans and it comes with a seperate ballast that has switches for individual lights. I'm also including a brand new 20k MH light with it and a 10k one that is shot but you can keep it around in case they all blow out and you don't have time for a new one. The fixture itself is 20" long but it has mounting legs that can be adjusted anywhere from 12" to 24"....Pick up in New Rochelle, NY 10801

I'm selling the unit and all that is described for $160...

here's a pic of it...

what makes this so special? better ballast?

i am weary of purchasing aquatraders stuff... but if you can prove thru pictures that this isnt aquatraders stuff.. i would be more interested
I don't know what makes this one better but I think the ballast and fixture are better. I'm basing that on the fact that I just purchased the same 48" fixture that's on aquatraders and the 2 ballasts for the 250 watt MHs are really small and light compared to the ballast for this light. The ballast for this light is much bulkier and it has the 3 switches for each individual light on it...It weighs a good 10lbs im guessing and it's 12"X8"X4"...the fixture is also thicker than the fixture I have now and it has 2 side fans built in instead of one top fan...it has worked well for me and I would keep it for a tank I plan on building but I'm low on money so I have to get rid of it. Here's a side pic, I don't know if you can tell it's thicker than the aquatraders one as you may have not seen one of those fixtures. I'll be glad to answer any other questions you may have, just ask
