this isnt a car hitting his tire then riding up into the fender, this being my opinion same as i stated before, seeing this is what i do for a living { appraiser for a bodyshop } a if it hit the wheel and road up into the fender, the wheel would be back into the wheel well, your scrape into the fender wouldnt be from the front of the fender backwards, the impact would have been further back into the fender not at the front, not that any of this really matter's and nothing personal timber if your a cop, this is how alot of people get screwed on their insurance by cops trying to guess what happened or the amount the damage cost. see it too much and too often the police report not containing accurate info, granted your taking one's word against another trying to make a decision, my opinions are coming from working on cars for over 20 yr's, writing estimates for insurance companies and running bodyshops :shhh:

When I lived in Chicago, I took the train to work everyday so my car was parked by the curb pretty much all week. One day there was a huge commotion half way down my block. Police, fire truck, tons of people, etc. Not wanting to be a nosey neighbor, I ignored it. On Saturday, I went to get in my car....yup, it was my car. Someone had hit my car so hard that it forced it up onto the curb and into a tree. Both sides were completely smashed. My car looked like it had a waistline!

Sorry about your car Chapz.

I had my Explorer parked in front of my house and someone backed in to it, I didn't even know it til I was in a parking lot and some duded came over asking to pull the dent out of the bumper for a fee. I told him no thank you figuering I'd live with it. Well, a couple of days later I took her in for an oil change and they couldn't open the hood. The idiot that hit her had done so hard enough that they pushed the brush gard into the hood. Further more hit it hard enough not only to stop the hood from opening, but through the hood out of alighment. So I had to take her to a body shop. Thankfully the guy at the shop that came out to look at her was great and the owner of the place.;) Who after asking me who was going to pay for the repairs and did the culprit leave me a note, told me that the damage to the bumper was not so bad and I could save over $300 if he just pulled it out and I could live with a hair line show and tell mark. He pulled the bumper out, realighned my hood all for a mere $80.;)
I sold that house and bought one with a driveway.;)

I believe this was like two years ago. I was in Flushing looking for parking near Main St. I had to look twice but I see one car on top of another car's hood. There must've been a third vehicle that went in reverse and push the car back. He must have been one extremely angry or drunk driver. I wished I had my camera at the time to take a picture.

I was thinking of looking for your car that night when we were leaving because you said that it died and you had it parked at the end of the block.

at least its not as bad as the time my car got it 2 yrs ago.
Remember?..New years day '07.

Some underage kid driving w/o a license tries to cut a minivan off an intersection and ends up clipping the van making it spin and slam in between two parked cars (mine was one of them). The car in front of me was lucky, he only received minor damage in the rear. I got the most damage, the hit actually dented my left fender and raised my car onto the sidewalk.

I only found out when I came out to buy dinner when I noticed it and said to myself "some guy did such a bad parking job.. it's on the sidewalk"... turns out it was my car.=(

timber i dont need to be at the scene to know what happened to a degree, and how many of the cops actually sen the accident when they wrote it up ? you guys go by what 2 people or more are telling you. knowing how metal bends and twist and crash points on a car i would say gives me a good idea of how the impact is, not that i know of do cops get training on accidents,, you guys use judgement on what you think happened. and seeing how i am in the process of trying to get into with 2 manurfacturer on improvement in safety in the design of vehicles and their week points and strong points, and taking photos along with info and how the accident happened { which will always have a varient } people never want to tell the whole truth especially if they are at fault, like i said nothing against anyone these are my opinions and would say i have a little knowledge on this. and yes GO COLTS even though we suck right now :irked:
