Wow that's amazing, it looks real enough. But I do agree with some of the comments on Youtube, and it does look like it was a poorly attempted humping that caused him to drag the dog back to safety.

Dogs are smart and I have no doubt they would do this sort of act for one another. I am not sure as didn't watch the whole thing but that dog likely did not survive sadly!
I remember one reporter saying the dog did, I am not buying that!

I dont know how some people could say that the dog was humping the other dog. That is just plain dumb to say.

Well the dog is grabbing the other dog with his paws in a way that does look like humping. and the dog is gyrating its hips. When my dog trys to hump another dog of similar size when that dog is laying down, it looks exactly the same way, but just with no dragging/movement.

How on earth can anyone think that the dog is trying to hump the other dog! COME ON PEOPLE
the entire scenario, i mean honestly. If you think the dog is trying to "hump" the other dog then you have some work to do!

I dont think that people actually think that the dog is trying to hump the other dog its just the comments left on youtube and people who dont think for themselve think what others think. Simple. Also, most likely not a dog lover would say stupid comments like that.

No i'm just saying this is what i've seen my own dog do to another dog that wasn't in trouble.

I do not see where you draw this really idiotic conclusion.

You see i'm not even saying that this video was faked, edited, etc.
I'm NOT saying that dog's aren't capable of saving other dogs.
I'm NOT saying that dog's aren't capable of altruistic behavior.
I'm NOT saying that this dog didn't get run over, or that this dog did possibly save it's life.
I'm AM saying that in this very specific instance, the dog may not have been entirely doing what we think it's doing for that reason.

If you don't believe me that this is what it looks like when a dog tries to hump another dog that's laying down. Bring a female dog that's in heat to a dog park that's full of males and wait until it's too tired to run away anymore and just lays down (Very Stupid Idea BTW, HIGHLY Suggest you do not try this. And then you will see this very action take place. And I am speaking from experience that I did see the very same motions you see on the video but for very definitely different reasons.
