air stones in fish only tank???

i've heard all sorts of different opinions about having airstones in a fish-only tank, is it a good or bad idea??, thanks

Can't do any harm. If tank is overstocked, has no overflow and/or no protein skimmer, it might keep the fish alive.

All it does is create an enormous amount of salt creep. Why do you want to have all that extra maintenance? If you combat it with glass tops then you are doing nothing for O2 saturation.

Heck, I don't even have airstones in my fowlr and I still battle saltcreep!:tongue1:
Better to use a couple of PH, you'll have less saltcreep.​
