What do you need...?

If you go on vacation do you need to be certified to go diving at like 20ft or can you just do it?

OR

Are you just allowed to snorkel?

Snorkel, but most hotels have dive classes in their pools for 'quick' certification

You can usually get certified at the hotel you are staying at, or someplace close. I have done this a couple of times in the Bahamas and Turks & Caicos.

Snorkeling isn't quite as fun, although still fun.

yes but remember if ur only on vacation for a week going scuba diving asap cuz you cant fly for 2-3 days after scuba

I thought it was 24 hours after, and it depends on how deep and how long you scuba.

you gotta decompress i suggest 48 hrs and its if you 60 feet or below i may be off alittle if you come back the bahamas etc.. sometimes at the airport they ask you have you dove or have a been on horses diving we know why and the horses is because of some bug or parasite or something
