I only have small frags of SPS (about 10-15), and I'm going through .35 liters of 2 part a day to maintain Calcium at 430ppm (salifert). My Mag is about 1400ppm (elos)

.35 liters/day seems a lot to me. I don't have a lot of coraline on the rocks either.

how much do you go through? And what type of tank is it?

Just wanted to clarify somethings.

I use recipe 1: http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-02/rhf/index.php

So technically, it's more powerful than recipe 2.

I'm going at around .3liters/day = 300ml/day.

So that's a bit much I believe if I'm on a 58 gallon with only frags of SPS and very little coraline.

That is a lot on a 58gal!!! Your growth must be very fast??? Do you have a current pic of your reef?

I used to add 200ml on an older 65gal. On this tank I dosed kalk and vinegar. Little did I know then that Vinegar was a carbon source. Growth was extremely fast in this tank. I had 2x 1" frags of abrolhenis stags that grew to 12" each in a little over a year. Colors were very light/faded though.
