can i ship my self live corals and rocks from jamaica?

hey going to jamaica soon can i ship myself live rock or coral?

bought at a local shop or hand picked out of the ocean.

There are laws against the latter,check local law before you start picking, wouldn't want to cause any incidents on vacation.

If you can get a transshipping permit and know the ins and outs of the transshipping business. It is possible, but it is very hard to do and only so many permits are issued a year.

No, YOU can't ship anything reef related from a foreign country to the united stated unless you have a transhipping permit or you go to a transshipper and have that item shipped out. Then good luck actually getting it.

CITES prohibits collection of items from the ocean without the proper paperwork as well.

All permits for this cost quite a bit.

So in short "No you can't"
