well I just got back from PR. We have a vacation beach villa there and its sure real. But when we go ( every 3 weeks) I have a un commfortable feeling in my gut because of my tank. When Im home I closely monitor everthing and make adjustments accordingly. Well I just scoped out and noticed my clam that has been doing great for the last 8 months is now gone. Im so pissed I cant explain.

not having luck with chillers, just bought a used 3/4 hp chiller form reef central's reelbadfish and its not working, Temps did swing a bit 78-83.5 till I cranked the A/C now its steedy at 79

You need to come over here and help me out. No remains at all. He was growing too like crazy. Every month I noticed new shell growth and now he's gone.

Yea we go away a lot but only because this beach Villa ( Punta DeMar) only offered you a 2 or 3 bedroom unit 2200sqft being the largest but comes stripped no a/c no appl, nothing so we go and work on it as much as we can. Its almost complete now. :bablefish

How big was it? And where was it place? Too strange for it to be completely gone they aren’t know to move right? The shell has to be some where.

Must be nice to soon have a completed place to go away too

My maxima clams just up and died one day. One I had for 3 years, one for 2. One day they were fine, the next day, hermit food.

Check all your parameters. The only thing I found out of whack on my tank was the Ca. It was low, but I didn't think that low. Mine may have caught something from a new addition, or died from heat... But I have a chiller.

Clams are wierd like that...

I have a MTC procal reactor and its been a challange to keep at 450, its more like 380-400 prior I was dosing in addition to keep it above 400, I changed media to fine hopeing it would break it down faster . Why am I always having issues with Calcium, If I does on top my alk tends to stay high. Someone comeover and help me out.

yes its a dual chamber design, Your support would be great. Im up high ridge past the museum about 2 miles on left Alama Rock Rd 2nd house on right #15
