filter sock ?

hey everyone how do u clean ur filter socks well should i say do u or u just throw them out and get new ones

I throw my filter sock in the washer with bleach only .

Yeah look like new but i turn in inside out when i put it to wash i only put it to wash with my rags i use for my tank and other filter socks

YES! Rinse again. Then let them air dry, so that any chlorine left in them will dissipate.

same here buy back up socks and clean the old ones with some bleach, then what i do is run it again in the wash right after to get all the bleach off of them

I agree but I use warm water not cold.

I change my socks every week, no detergent at all, just a little bleach and extra rinse. Air drying is good too.

Same here when I used them!

I had extras so I would just dump them in a bucket with water, and a little bleach until I was down to the last one.
I'd run the dirty ones through the wash with a little chlorine, and hot water on double rinse twice. Then dried them.

Don't use them anymore! To much of a hassle, caused to many floods for me with my set up.;(

I use 100 micron, I tried 50's also
