phosphate reactor and skimmer

hey everyone just hooked up my two little fishies phos reactor last night and my skimmer stoped foaming is this normal and will it start up on its own just hooked up the reactor as a precaution no real problem with algae

Thats normal give it some time the skimmer will start working again

Did you rinse the Phosban (or whatever you are using?) before you added it?
How full is the reactor & on what size tank?

its a 75 gallon tank down to a 20 long sump using rowaphos in the reactor not much about 2 1/2 inches worth the skimmer started working again last night can i put carbon in the reactor on top of the rowaphos ????????????
