I just got this blue clove colony at the swap i dipped it and placed it in my tank but noticed these other things popping out other than the cloves does someone know what they are?

heres a closer pic hope u can see it the closer i get the blurrier the pic looks to me they look like aptasia but just want to get a second opinion before i write to the person who i bought them from

Yea i did and thanx for everyones input the seller came over and from what he said they are actually hydroids. He said there not the colonial ones which sting corals but some sort of other hydroid that really doesnt bother the cloves. Im just glad there not aptasias and arent doing any damage but now i have to figure out what eats them cuz i dont want them spreading. If anyones know what eats hydroids let me know thanx.

There're a couple of nudibranches that eat hydroids, but you don't really wanna bother with those unless you have a massive infestation. Easiest thing to do at this point is just to pull the frag out and scrape 'em off with a scalpel or x-acto knife, or pull them out with tweezers, or otherwise horribly mutilate, maim, or remove them. :)
