Quick Maxima Clam Question

I just picked up a clam from MJM Aquaculture (Thanks Mike :thrash

How long does it typically take a Maxima to attach its foot to the rock structure?

I have the flow turned way down (almost nothing) and placed the clam on the rock structure. It's about 2.5 inches.

it could start attaching as soon as one day, just as long it like the spot that its in.If it does not it Will try to move which usually means it could fall down somewhere you don't want it

What I have is have a smaller piece of rock put the clam on at the bottom of tank in about 6 to 7 days it will be attached then I moved where I wanted it! Having the samll piece of rock attached at the clam allows you to saddle it easier on top of a larger rock hope

some times they move around till they are happy with the lighting spot and the flow and the rocky area

Anthony: You're right, but I'm hoping you're wrong

(or at least the clam will be happy where I want him to go )

You should see this clam bud.. It's a 'beaut, especially under the LED's.
