can someone let me know if this is a lyretail anthias.
i know shes a female but im not sure if its a lyretail because she looks really pink in person and not orange. thanks.

Thats not a spot on the fin. it's actually a fast moving blurry clownfish.
So chances are its not a lyretail because of the line?
What else can it be? :confused:

She did not stay still because she thought it was feeding time.
I must have taken about 15 pictures with my cell phone and this was the best one.
I'm just glad it was enough to make an I.D.

That is a female lyretail. there are several types of lyretail, depending on where they are collected, the spot, color or stripes could be different. I had some a while ago that where collected in fiji and now I have some collected in the maldives. both sets are different, with the one from the maldives being more colorful or vibrant.

what you have in he photos seems to be the lyretails I had before.
