Need help setting up my newAqua Medic plankton ractor. do I need any pankton supplements to start the cycle? How do I create the CO2 source? Do I add bubbles and how many? Do i need a regulator for the C02. Please help me.

Aqua Medic Plankton Reactor, Its a really nice unit, costly too. Im not sure on hw to hook up the CO2 and does this have a consent drip back into your sump? Or do you manually open the line and add to your sump? Confussed. Sorry. :fishhit:

yeah, until you mentioned this thing i had never heard of it. it looks pretty cool though.
so in true MR style, I will be happy to give you some advice pulled directly from my a$$ if you want
btw, how is this any different than culturing phyto in 2 liter soda bottles? if you have never gone that route its worth looking at. probably a hell of a lot cheaper than the reactor.

same thing really, just using a fancyer unit that costs more money. My question is how much CO2 do you use with the mixture of air? It does not explain this at all. Also Where do you purchase Floreal or Ferreal to start the algea growth?
