Who wants to help lift a 150G Tank?

Well I have hit a minor obstacle in setting up my 150 ... Sump won't fit through the front or back of the stand because of the braces ... so the only way through is lifting the tank off the stand and putting in from the top.

As most of you know ... I am 5'5 about 128lbs (pathetic I know ... :birthday: ) ... so between myself and my g/f (tank weighs more then the both of us put together) no chance in hell are we lifting this tank. lol.

So ... MR ... I can offer cash or beer, food ... whatever it will take to get this sump into the stand!

I appreciate those that offer from the bottom of my heart ... however if you don't have a large tank ... don't overestimate your own strength (I BEG OF YOU!) ... I have already had that happen to me once before.

I am located in Queens (Auburndale ... 192nd just off Northern Blvd.)

LMK if you and a friend(s) can do it!!!

Lay the stand down and slide it in that way then lift it back up.. That's my good will gesture for the day,,lol.. I'm so busy lately or I'd help you David... I put my 180 on my 4ft stand my my self at 3 in the morning..lol..

You're pretty close to me. What time do you need help?
I'm not sure how strong you are, but if you're able to lift 1 side, I can help you.
I've lifted up to a AGA 210g with me and 1 other person with no problem, though it was heavy and we only had to move it about 20ft, so 150 should be a bit easier.
I'm assuming its clean and empty?

Hey Ming,

Yes the tank is empty and cleaned out.

I don't honestly trust myself lifting it (plus my fingers are my career so ... yeah lol.) ... so I would try to coordinate it with another friend that offered to help. Let me know when you are available during the week (M-F), since that is when it seems the other person is free!

i'll come and supervise.....lol. i'm useless when it comes to lifting stuff....you know that. my hands are insured but not enough to retire......lol.
