I'm sure they will be there.. but I figure I may as well ask.. Will any vendors or other folks have Purple Hornets for sale?

Also looking for a Hawkins Echinata.

Thanks

Why waste your money on that ordinary Zoanthid ? There soo much better stuff out there w/o the dumb hype.

Make a suggestion.. if it's something similar.. I'll buy it. I don't know many zoas that look like PH's.

Trust me, if you search some of my posts, esp. on RC, or if you talk with people I've traded/bought/sold from...you'll see that I don't care about names.

I simply like purple hornets.. and would buy them even if they weren't named, for the same price.

When they grow into a large enough colony that I feel like I want to sell a few frags.. it will be less than the price I paid.

So what your saying then is it is a good zoa to try to make some money on. What im saying is there are sooo many zoas out there that put PH to shame ,,, I just dont get it. I just traded for one polyp, yes can you belive it one polyp. Some guy made a frag of ONE polyp. Its okay, I just dont see whats soo great about them there are so many others out there that are nicer. Maybe when my ONE polyp spreads I will see , but for now sorry its just another zoo you can get from coral fanatics

That's not at all what I'm saying. I honestly don't know how you got that from what I posted. With the minor exception of my last sentence being misconstrued into something that it wasn't meant to be... I just meant that if I decide to sell or trade frags, I won't ask someone else to pay the same $ that I paid...

Anyway, your opinion on whether or not Purple Hornets are nice, or better/worse than other zoas is just that; your opinion. To me, they're quite beautiful.

EXACTLY! Personally, I like the PH's a lot, but I don't have the funds to pay whatever double digit amount they are for one polyp.

If you like what you bought and you enjoy looking at it and having it in your tank, then you spent the right amount. If you bought something because it's "Super-LE-rare-Deepwater-Illegal-Import-Insert-Ridiculous-Name" in order to make money off of it in the end...you probably overpaid. (just my $0.02)

I agree with you, actually. I'm also not sure how/why this thread went in the direction it did though. I've seen the PH's for sale for about $25/polyp lately, and I'm willing to spend that on a zoanthid that I really like the looks of. Pretty simple really. It has nothing to do with the name, and I do agree that buying something for the name alone isn't a good reason to buy something.
