I'd much rather face Cliff Lee in game 3 and 7 as opposed to have to deal with Tampa Bay's running game for all 7 games. Our beloved Posada (and much less so Cervelli) is great offensively, but realistically speaking, his arm to 2nd is below par, and can arguably be called horrible.
Yanks in 5 with the lone loss going to Lee in game 3.
A.J. doesn't take the mound unless the Yanks are leading the series. I'm also partial to Pettitte in a game 7 with a very short leash, going to C.C.

couldnt agree with you more.. u should be up 2-0 by this wknd!!! but im not holding us too it. much respect to texas!
125reefer said:sorry to say but there is little to no hope for the yanks in this series.texas has a better pitching staff and a better all around offense.sorry to disappoint all the die hard yankee fans
125reefer said:As u may see in history season stats mean nothing in the post season.right now texas looks like a better team all around.im am a yankee fan but i see this as a lose.sorry for being honest

I dont know about that, yankees never came through against a big time pitchers (halladay, lee, etc). They should have pitched aj against lee and saved petite for tonight. Petite's performance was pretty much a waste. I still like texas in this serious, yankees pitching is just in shambles.I'm just speaking statistically. Well maybe not after tonight but up till tonight yanks has performed better.

And you don't just give away the Lee games. You put up your best possible chance of winning the pitching duel.
Texas has weak pitching other than Lee. You have a better chance of getting a win with A.J. By pitching him tonight.
really? so they have the best chance of wining tonight with aj burnet 10-15 with an era over 5 going against a 13-4 pitcher with an era of 3? I don't see the difference anyways, texas destroyed the yankees last night, 6 runs in one inning, pretty sad if you ask me. Besides rivera, their bullpen is no good.
Texas has weak pitching?
Game 1: wilson 7 innings of work 3 Runs, only 2BB as apposed to Sabathia's 4 IP 5 runs and 4 BB.
Game 2: hughes 4 IP 7 runs, as opposed to lewis 5 IP only 2 runs.
and we all now what happened game 3. I wouldn't say their pitching is weak. Yea the beat them 10 games in a row in the regular season, but obvioulsy they have their work cutout for them.
ZANYMASTER said:What bothers me is Joe is not bunting guys over when he should.Every run counts.Yanks can't play from behind all the time and win it like they did in Game 1.Let's see if they indeed pitch AJ or put CC in there. They need to win the next two.
