I wanted to go with the title "when your fish know your watching" but I figured it was too long and would get cut off.

Does anyone else have fish that act differently when they know they know you are watching?(standing in front of the tank)

In the passed I had a purple tang that would only nip at my clams only when I was far enough from my tank where I guess he thought I couldnt see but never when I was standing or sitting in front of the tank.

Now I have 2 anthias that seem to get along fine when I am not standing in front of the tank.(I assume this is bc they think I am gonna feed and they get territorial with each other)

Any one else have a fish that acts up when they know your watching or think your not?

I actually got in to the hobby to piss off my wife, she hated me spending my/her money,, that was 3 wives ago the hobby stuck the wives did not

When I had my 75 set up in my room in my old apartment, my fish would always swim around perfectly fine whether I was around or not. Now that I upgraded to the 210, it's in the basement and every time I get near the fish tank my fish go into defensive mode, some hide in caves and some just stay still and watch my every move. The nice thing is that when they see me pick up the flake and pellet container they come up, it's crazy that they know what their food containers look like but it's sad I lost my fishes trust by moving them in the basement lol

All of my fish come to the front and seem more like dogs at the dinner table. It's to a point I can't get the Nori to the clip before they attack, so I wind up holding it until they are finished.

Not only do my fish beg but my brittle star will come out of hiding as soon as my hand goes in the tank. Should make it easy to catch him when it is time to go (which is very soon; damn thing is too big).
