Now that im back in the hobby, i was reading over at melevsreef, and he recommends
1. putting foam under the sump, does anyone here do that? I dont see why the seams of my sump (Very nicely made 30 gallon tank made by OzoneParkGuy) would mess up.

Any and all suggestions are welcomed

Sure they do.
It's done for the same reason many put a layer of foam insulation or thin layer of cork under their DT's - it helps the tank settle down nice & flat in the event the stand is not perfectly level or even.
It is not a critique on the craftmanship of the sump/stand- it is more about keeping stress off the seams :)
