lol i get u, however, plexiglass is much more flexible then acrylic, acrylic is much more ridged thus prone to crack when too much pressure is applied(like that 1500g tank that popped). im pretty familiar with both plastics i used 3/8 on my fuge and its 30g 24x15x24. no flexing, and my floor is still dry :P

Where you found that info?

Plexiglass is a trade name for a clear Acrylic isn't different product.

Chuck - are you talking about Lexan?

You can get either at ARV Precision - they are located in Farmingdale just north of the Southern State off 110..look in the real Yellow Pages. He usually carries - or can get you - anything you want. Tell him Kathy from MR sent you :)

yup but usually what is referred to as plexi is much more flexible at the same thickness as standard acrylic "glass"
