Algae? Detritus? Hitchhiiker?

Ive started spotting these purple follicles starting to form on one of my rocks. I used to have detritus and this looks a little similar to it but the thing thats throwing me off is that its purple. I dont know if maybe its some type of algae or maybe even a hitchhiker. Please let me know what you think it can be.

Temp 78-82 (Been having some problems with the heat so my tank temp reaches 86 at times and is changing every now and then)

Is it tough to remove? Might be turf algae...

I havent tried to remove it because I wasnt sure if it was something beneficial. They look like small polyps.
