Joining dry Rock?

I want to join to pieces of rock together to form a bridge.
Two DRY pieces on bench.
Dowels,epoxy putty???
What would be the best and most solid and secure way to do this?

Are your rocks mainly flat or do they have lots of unevenness and ridges? I made a nice lagoon with no glue at all....all I did was connect the two in the form or "key and lock"

I used reef epoxy. It worked very well on dry rock.

I need it to essentially be one rock.Trying to bridge across two existing formations.
I was thinking of plastic dowels and epoxy putty but not sure how to drill odd shapes accurately.

yea when i make bridges i stack up to sides then get two long pieces that really lock into each-other good and put them on both sides then it supports the rest of the rock on top of it. you can also use epoxy if you have trouble making it stay. i used some today but it wasn't for a bridge it was just to keep a small show rock from falling from the top.

I used acrylic rods from Canal Plastics but I think fiberglass trumps acrylic in terms of strength and longevity. If your rocks are heavy or plan to have a rainbow scoly under the bridge, I'd go with fiberglass. It won't crack and snap off under pressure like acrylic.
